Wallaroo Dried Fruits | Review
When Wallaroo got in touch asking if I’d like to try their dried fruits, I was so up for it. Those who know me, know that I don’t have a sweet tooth and I actually avoid sweets and sugary stuff as often as I can for obvious reasons, although I do have some favourites cakes that will always win me once in a while.
Wallaroo began their journey with children in mind and thinking about how they could make healthy and appealing snacks for children, because children always want snacks, don’t they? So the founder embarked on the ‘Wallaroo Trail’ as they call it and they have different varieties of dried fruit snacks: mango, pineapple and coconut. All 100% organic, nothing ever added which means no added sugar, salt, preservatives or sulphites. I am always on the lookout for healthier alternatives to give to my children, and these childrens’ snacks tick the box. They also come in packages of 30g which is perfect as a children snack, and also for adults to carry around wherever you go.
My children loved all of them, but I found that the mango and pineapple weren’t really for me because they were a bit too sweet, and let’s just day I don’t have a good relationship with sugar. I am sure other people will like them more. However, I have loved the dried coconut chips so much, I even ordered a whole new box and in less than a week, it was finished. I shared it with all family and friends because they’re too tasty not to share. They are so crunchy, full of coconut flavour and creaminess; my children didn’t even get the chance to eat one before they were gone. These dried coconut chips are now on our monthly shopping list.
I have them next to my coffee in the morning, and I leave some in my car too to snack on when driving.
